UTXO Alliance

The UTXO Alliance is a blockchain industry group focused on cross-project cooperation between Web3 initiatives using the UTXO accounting model. As a leader in the space, IOG kickstarted the organization, tapping me to develop its identity.

I designed this brand from the ground up, consulting with subject matter experts to give form to ideas behind the UTXO Alliance itself. In blockchain today, there are two accounting models. One, the UTXO model which treats units of value independently. And two, the accounts model, which treats units of value as being pooled under particular accounts. The UTXO model, while more difficult to program for, promises orders of magnitude more flexibility as regards scalability and parallel operations.

Thus I designed this spec to accommodate communication in a B2B mode, using a visual language consummate with UTXO's status as an open, accessible and community-enabling technology.
