COVID19 Behind Bars Data Project
This project focuses on advocacy for an often invisible segment of the population, creating data visualizations that tell the story of the incarcerated during the COVID19 pandemic. These images appeared on the project's social media channels.
The thing I most liked about this project was the way we approached the visuals, landing on a solution that was at once modern and clean, with small visual touches that speak to undercurrents inherent in the subject matter. Sourcing photos, it was clear that we were providing an important window on a world deliberately removed from sight for the vast majority of us, and this felt like an opportunity to shed light on this area.
